Join us in celebrating the National Archives Museum’s new “Spirited Republic” exhibition with a special program exploring the intersection of alcohol and government throughout American history.

Libby H. O’Connell, Chief Historian and Senior Vice President of HISTORY®, will discuss her work in American culinary history, including a colorful exploration of beverages such as bathtub gin, mint juleps, and cocktails from the Roaring Twenties. Joining O’Connell will be Corby Kummer, Senior Editor of The Atlantic and Jim Hughes, Chief Mixologist and cocktail historian at the famed Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC.
