Founder’s Son: A Life of Abraham Lincoln

In Founder’s Son, Richard Brookhiser brings Abraham Lincoln’s career and mind to thrilling life, showing how a frontier boy became the most influential man of his era. The key was the founding fathers, from whom Lincoln derived his vision of America that would become instrumental in his handling of the Civil War and the question of slavery as he steered the nation towards a righteous cause, and finishing the grand experiment in liberty begun by Washington, Paine and Jefferson.

All public programs at the National Archives are free and streamed live online via the National Archives’ YouTube channel. Reservations are recommended; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The doors to the building will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the program.
