“Making Their Mark” Family Day
  • Date: Tuesday, December 30, 2014
  • Time: 3:00 pm
  • Location: Boeing Learning Center, Washington, DC

Come and bring your family to the Boeing Learning Center in the National Archives Museum to explore the many ways people have placed their signature on history, from developing a signature style to signing groundbreaking policy into law.

The day will feature family fun with hands-on activities, such as writing with a quill pen, Presidential Catch Phrase, and making signature hats, all based on the new exhibition, “Making Their Mark: Stories Through Signatures.” As a special treat, a representative from Fahrney’s Pens will be here to help with the most vexing of holiday challenges – how to write a “polite” thank you note!

“Making Their Mark: Stories Through Signatures” is made possible in part by the Foundation for the National Archives with the generous support of Lead Sponsor AT&T. Major additional support provided by the Lawrence F. O’Brien Family and members of the Board of the Foundation for the National Archives.

Family and educational programming related to “Making Their Mark” is sponsored in part by Fahrney’s Pens, Cross, and Parker Pen Company – Newell Rubbermaid.
