  • Time: 11:00 pm
  • Location: William G. McGowan Theater, Washington, DC

German director Wim Wenders was in the midst of filming the modernist choreographer Pina Bausch when she died suddenly in 2009. A ground-breaking visionary whose cogent and compelling work with Tanztheater Wuppertal transformed the history of dance, Bausch believed in blending the formal vocabularies of theater, dance, sound, and design. (2011; 103 minutes, rated PG)

The National Archives is pleased to host the first of two screenings presented in partnership with the National Gallery of Art while it undergoes renovations.
