Uniquely Nasty: The U.S. Government’s War on Gays (Film Screening)
  • Date: Friday, October 02, 2015 - Saturday, October 03, 2015
  • Time: 11:00 pm
  • Location: William G. McGowan Theater, Washington, DC

This documentary explores the not-so-distant past when gays and lesbians were considered “unsuitable” for Federal employment. Thousands lost or were denied jobs and the FBI secretly collected hundreds of thousands of files on the sex lives of American citizens. The film is narrated by journalist Michael Isikoff, who will lead a panel discussion following the screening.

This program is presented by the National Archives in partnership with Stonewall@NARA, the National Archives LGBTQ employee affinity group.
