The National Archives’ Innovation Hub is hosting a special Independence Day-themed transcribe-a-thon on July 1!
Join either online or in-person from 2-5pm to transcribe documents related to the founding of our nation, the July 4th holiday, and more. We will be joined by archivist John Deeben and transcribing documents throughout the afternoon, after a brief introduction to transcription. In-person participants should bring a laptop.
Unlocking information in records on the National Archives’ online catalog helps make the catalog better and more robust, allowing more people to access history within the Archives from anywhere.
