Transcribe-a-thon
- Date: Friday, April 08, 2016
- Time: 5:00 pm
- Location: Innovation Hub, Washington, DC
The Innovation Hub, a new space located in the National Archives’ Washington, DC building, is hosting the first ever transcribe-a-thon in partnership with the National Archives Foundation!
Looking for records to transcribe and tag? Start here!
Join either online or in-person from 1-4pm to transcribe documents related to the new exhibit, Amending America. We will be joined by Jennifer Johnson and Christine Blackerby, curators of the exhibit, and transcribing documents for the afternoon. Anyone from anywhere can transcribe and win prizes graciously donated by the Foundation. Register below for this free event. In-person participants should bring a laptop.
Unlocking information in records on the National Archives’ online catalog helps make the catalog better and more robust, allowing more people to access history within the Archives from anywhere.
Registration to join has now closed, but all are welcome to drop-in at the Archives’ Innovation Hub or online with our Google Hangout!
