From the Vaults: How Americans First Learned of Pearl Harbor

Author Craig Nelson (Pearl Harbor: from Infamy to Greatness) introduces radio broadcasts, newsreels, and photographs illustrating how the media first informed and kept Americans apprised of the December 7th, 1941 attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, which plunged America into World War II.

All public programs at the National Archives are free. Reservations are recommended; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The doors to the building will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the program. Use the Special Events entrance on the corner of Constitution Avenue and 7th Street, NW.
