Women Vietnam Veterans: Our Untold Stories
  • Date: Friday, November 10, 2017
  • Time: 7:00 pm
  • Location: William G. McGowan Theater, Washington, DC

Vietnam veteran SGM Donna Lowery, author of Women Vietnam Veterans: Our Untold Story, will discuss the participation of American military women (non-nurses) during the Vietnam War. This little-known group of an estimated 1,000 women from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force left its mark in Vietnam from 1962 to 1973. The women fulfilled myriad duties as intelligence analysts, flight controllers, clerk-typists, translators, physical therapists, dietitians and communications specialists, and many other roles.

A book signing will follow the program. Purchase this book on the day of the event from the National Archives Store and receive a 15% discount (members get 20% off).

The Opening Weekend Celebration is presented in part by L3 Technologies, Inc. and Bell Helicopter.
