National Archives Foundation Announces “Hamilton” Ticket Giveaway

September 13, 2016

With just under two weeks before it honors the creators of Broadway’s “Hamilton,” the National Archives Foundation today announced a contest to give away two tickets to see the award-winning musical “Hamilton” live on Broadway. The winner will also receive Hamilton swag, including a poster, a book, and a playbill, from the National Archives Store, all signed by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Ron Chernow, Tony Award-winning film and theater director Thomas Kail, and Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, lyricist, and performer Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Individuals can enter the giveaway and learn more at: http://www.nationalarchivesstore.org/pages/see-hamilton

The winner will be chosen at random by Miranda at the National Archives Foundation’s Gala and Records of Achievement Award Ceremony on September 25 in Washington, DC.

Chernow, Kail and Miranda will receive the Foundation’s 2016 Records of Achievement Award at the Foundation’s annual Gala. The honor recognizes their collective work on the Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize Award winning Broadway musical “Hamilton,” inspired by the 2004 biography of Alexander Hamilton by Mr. Chernow. The Broadway musical was directed by Mr. Kail, and was written by and stars Mr. Miranda.
