Digital Badge Program for Oklahoma Educators

Dates: June 16th, June 23rd, and June 30th
Time: 9-11 am Central

With funding from the Sumners Foundation, we are excited to offer a new cohort of the Primary Source Pedagogy Online Professional Development Program. This opportunity is open to educators across Oklahoma, with particular focus on educators who are new to teaching social studies or new to teaching with primary sources.

This ten hour program will engage teachers with the essential question: What are primary sources and how can I effectively use them in my classroom?

Through three, two-hour webinars and follow up assignments, this program will guide participants through techniques for teaching with primary sources, provide instruction on how to use the National Archives’ analysis worksheets, explore how to modify sources to meet students’ learning goals and needs, and understand how to teach content through the use of multiple sources.

Participants must attend all three online sessions and complete assignments in between each session to successfully complete the program. Educators who successfully complete the program will receive a $300 stipend and a digital badge recognizing their achievement.

Registration is now open now and will close June 1, 2022. This program is limited to 30 participants. Once you complete the registration form, you will receive a follow up email with additional information.
