Spielberg Film Fest: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

The Foundation for the National Archives has named director Steven Spielberg as the 2013 recipient of its Records of Achievement Award in recognition of his film legacy, which has brought to life defining moments of our nation’s history. In commemoration of this award and in collaboration with DreamWorks Studios, the National Archives is screening four of his critically acclaimed films.

Filled with unparalleled magic and imagination, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982; 115 minutes; rated PG) follows the moving story of a lost little alien who befriends 10-year-old, Elliot. Cast includes Dee Wallace, Henry Thomas, Peter Coyote, Robert Macnaughton, and Drew Barrymore.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations accepted. Free tickets are distributed at the Special Events entrance on Constitution Avenue, starting 60 minutes prior to start time.
