35th Anniversary of The Wall

In partnership with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), we present a panel discussion about the history and legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, dedicated on November 13, 1982. Participants will include Jan Scruggs, founder and president emeritus (VVMF), Jim Knotts, president and CEO (VVMF), author and historian Kristin Ann Hass (Carried to the Wall: American Memory and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial), and Duery Felton, Jr., former and first curator, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Collection.

The Opening Weekend Celebration is presented in part by L3 Technologies, Inc. and Bell Helicopter.

All public programs at the National Archives are free and streamed live online via the National Archives’ YouTube channel. Reservations are recommended; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The doors to the building will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the program.
