International Relations in a Dangerous World

In conjunction with the 200th anniversary year of the Monroe Doctrine, we present a discussion on the historic and current measures taken by the U.S. Government to protect U.S. citizens overseas. Participating in the discussion will be Ambassador Roger D. Carstens, Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs at the U.S. Department of State; Bruce R. Hoffman, Professor and Director, Center for Jewish Civilization (CJC) at Georgetown University.  Moderating the discussion will be Robin Wright, Distinguished Scholar, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
